'L'Afrique' emerged from Studio Job's collaboration with Land Rover (2012 - 2013). They were asked to design and produce a unique, sculptural Land Rover Defender on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the iconic vehicle as the Defender is strongly rooted in Africa.
7 Designs from the library of Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel of Studio Job were selected for the collection “Archives Wallpaper by Studio Job”. The collection reflects a retrospective history of their studio. They used archetypical drawings and these universal symbols are combined as iconographic elements for patterns, compositions and embossing, ultimately creating 6 designs.
